It's been a while since I shared news about a Brand New class.
I've been working diligently this year, taking new courses on Biomechanics and addressing Postural imbalances. After testing the system on myself and a few therapy clients in one-on-one sessions, I'm confident it's beneficial in a class setting, allowing more people to benefit.
It's frustrating to exercise regularly to alleviate low back and hip pain without seeing results. Despite daily efforts, your glutes may not activate properly, or your hamstrings may tighten just minutes after you've stretched them.
It's demoralizing, making you question, "what's the point?"
I've learned that the muscular system won't function optimally if the pelvis and ribcage aren't aligned correctly. When these alignments improve, you stand taller and straighter with less effort and pain.
# How often have you groaned or struggled to get up from a chair?
# Do you sit properly in a chair or tend to flop backward?
# Do you need extra time in the morning for your body to wake up and your back to loosen up?
# Getting in and out of the car can be a challenge when your alignment is off.
# Relying on a bannister to pull yourself upstairs or support coming down is inefficient and unsafe.
These issues often stem from imbalances in the pelvis and ribcage.
The good news is that you can enhance your quality of life and reduce pain through simple exercises. Instead of forcing muscles into extreme positions, these exercises are gentle and allow your body to relax into place. We incorporate specific breathing techniques that calm the nervous system and reduce tension, offering benefits for mindfulness as well.
As mentioned earlier, I tested this on myself over the summer and am pleased to share my before and after pictures below. The changes have remained with minimal weekly maintenance.


You can clearly see my shoulders, hips and ankles are not inline with eachother.
This shows I have an imbalance in my Pelvis that transmires through the whole Left side of my body, The muscle has become short and weak on my left side around the middle making it also appear that one leg is shorter than the other.

There is a deffinate large bend in my knees throwing my bottom backwards and shoulders backwards. head is pulled forward to try to compensate for the swayback posture further down the body.


Although the left shoulder is still a little low compared to the other side it is not as obvious. The hips and feet look much better aligned and the legs look the same length now.

You can see how the head is now stacking on the shoulders better, knees are much straighter than before and less swayback in general.
It is clear to see that my posture was not great prior to embarking on the Posture Fix Pilates.
The Orange line is perfect alignment but you can see my right leg looks much longer than my left, Left shoulder has dropped and generally in a slightly twisted posture.
You can see that I am in much better alignment in just 1 month.
